Why is speaking practice with native Dutch speakers important for your learning?
Speaking with native Dutch speakers helps you improve your listening and speaking skills and use Dutch in real-life conversations.
Our Native Dutch speakers know that you are learning Dutch, so they adapt their language to your level. They are there to help you learn, practise, and feel more comfortable speaking Dutch.
Many people are afraid of making mistakes when they speak. Speaking practice helps you overcome this fear and build your confidence in speaking Dutch. The more you practise, the more confident you will become!
Teacher Philippe3. Why is the practice with our AI trainer important for your learning?
How do you know if you are making mistakes in Dutch when you practise at home? Who can you ask to correct you and give you feedback?
Our AI Trainer is here to help! You can use it at home to practise Dutch at your own pace. The AI Trainer corrects your mistakes and explains them in English and your native language. It also asks you questions that you answer in Dutch, helping you practise real conversations. The AI Trainer adapts its language to your level, so you can learn step by step and gradually improve your Dutch. Practise whenever you want, learn from your mistakes, and build your confidence in speaking Dutch!

We offer a very affordable price per class hour (your discount depends on when you book)! But still, the price should not be your main reason to join a Dutch Course! Why? Let me explain it you!
Why should the price not be the main reason for your decision?
Always check the limit of students per class. In many other schools they have 15 students in one class, hence the price can be lower. “So what?”, you might think.. I can tell you as a teacher that you will receive less attention from your teacher during the speaking exercises in your class. There will be just no teacher available to correct your mistakes because the class is too full to help everyone. Please read this Dutch word: chauffeur. Do you pronounce it correctly? Are you not sure about it? Exactly! You need a teacher to correct your pronunciation. When there will be no teacher available, you will be making mistakes, and you will even never know you are making them. Your teacher should not have too many students so he has time to help you personally. That’s why we have a maximum of 12 students per class. Our students are always exercising in pairs of 2. In this case, I, as a teacher, have only 6 pairs so that I can track the speaking exercise of everyone. In the class of 15, it would not be possible.
Teacher Philippe5. Why is the teaching method so important for your learning?
Learning Dutch is an investment in yourself, your career, and your future. It requires not only money but also your time, energy, and commitment. That is why choosing the right teaching method is so important.
At Dutch Academy Eindhoven, our intensive courses are designed to help you learn Dutch efficiently and make significant progress in a short time. We focus on high-quality lessons, a clear structure, and practical skills you can use in real-life situations. Our students appreciate the value they receive for their money.
Our courses follow the CEFR standards (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and are structured around A1, A2, and B1 levels. We help you build a solid foundation in Dutch so you can continue developing your language skills in the future.
Our Unique Method: Simpel Nederlands
We developed our own licensed teaching method, Simpel Nederlands, to make learning Dutch faster, easier to understand, and more effective. Our exclusive book is not available in regular bookshops or at other language schools. It is an integral part of our courses and is used exclusively by our students and teachers at Dutch Academy Eindhoven.
Our lessons focus on speaking, writing, and grammar. We make Dutch grammar visual and easier to understand, helping you recognise patterns, understand how the language works, and apply what you learn.
Visual Lessons That Make Learning Easier
We use a beamer and a large screen in our classrooms to make our lessons visual. You can follow your teacher’s explanations, see examples clearly, and understand how Dutch works in practice.
Our goal is not simply to teach you Dutch for an exam. We want you to gain the knowledge and skills you need to communicate independently and continue improving after completing your course. Invest in a teaching method that helps you learn with structure, clarity, and confidence.

Teacher Philippe6. Why are reviews of other students so important for your decision?
Choosing the right Dutch course is an important decision. You want to know whether a school delivers what it promises and whether its teaching methods really help you learn.
That is why reviews from other students are so valuable. They share their real experiences, explain what they liked about the course, and tell you how the lessons helped them improve their Dutch.
At Dutch Academy Eindhoven, we encourage you to read our students’ reviews before making your decision. Discover what other students say about our lessons, our teaching approach, and their progress in learning Dutch.
Don’t just take our word for it. Read our students’ experiences and decide for yourself!
Teacher Philippe7. Why are your fellow students so important for your learning?
At Dutch Academy Eindhoven, you don’t learn Dutch alone. Your fellow students are an important part of your learning experience.
That is why we have an admission test! Our Dutch courses are intensive: you learn a lot in a short time. This requires commitment, motivation, and the ability to keep up with the pace. An intensive course is not suitable for everyone, and we want to make sure that our course is a good fit for you.
It is also important that students in the same group have a similar Dutch language level. This allows everyone to learn, practise, and make progress together. If the differences in language level are too large, it becomes difficult to practise in the group. During our lessons, you will regularly work with other students. You will practise speaking Dutch, complete assignments, help each other, and learn from each other’s mistakes.
Learning together makes a difference! At Dutch Academy Eindhoven, we believe that successful learning is a team effort. Your fellow students are not just people in your classroom; they are your learning partners!

Teacher Philippe8. Where are our students working, and why are they learning Dutch?
Our students come from all over the world and work in a wide variety of professions. Many are highly educated professionals working in or around Eindhoven, an international region with major employers such as Philips and ASML. Others are looking for their first job in the Netherlands or want to develop their careers and improve their future job opportunities.
Why are they learning Dutch? Everyone has their own reasons, but four motivations are particularly common:
1. To improve their career opportunities
Even if you already have a good job, speaking Dutch can open doors to new positions, better career prospects, and more employment opportunities. Some employers require Dutch, even when you have the right qualifications and professional experience.
2. To build a future in the Netherlands
Some students learn Dutch because they want to apply for permanent residence or Dutch citizenship and need to meet the applicable language requirements. Others want to understand Dutch society and communicate more confidently with Dutch authorities.
3. To connect with Dutch people
Many Dutch people speak English, but conversations often switch to Dutch. Learning the language helps you participate in conversations, make friends, build a social network, and feel more at home in the Netherlands.
4. To become more independent in everyday life
From speaking to colleagues and contacting government institutions to understanding information about housing, healthcare, and daily life, Dutch helps you manage more situations independently.
What is your reason for learning Dutch?
You don’t have to wait until you need Dutch for a new job or an important situation. At Dutch Academy Eindhoven, you can learn Dutch step by step, practise speaking from your first lesson, and work towards your personal and professional goals.

Teacher Philippe9. Why are some people paying twice?
A cheaper Dutch course today can end up costing you more tomorrow…
We regularly receive applications from students who have completed an A1 course at another school and want to continue with A2 at Dutch Academy Eindhoven. Unfortunately, some of these students still have significant gaps in their knowledge of Dutch. Despite having completed an A1 course, they have not yet achieved the A1 level required to continue.
What happens next? They cannot be admitted directly to our A2 course. They must first complete our A1 course and pay for it again. This means that, instead of saving money, they may end up spending an additional €1,000–€1,200 to achieve the A1 level they thought they had already completed.
Why do we test our students?
At Dutch Academy Eindhoven, we take your learning seriously. We assess your Dutch level before placing you in a group, and you must pass the required level before progressing to the next one. You cannot simply book an A2 or B1 course without demonstrating that you have the necessary knowledge. If you have not achieved A1, you cannot join our A2 course yet.
Why is this important?
Because students need a sufficiently similar language level to learn and practise effectively together. Imagine joining an A2 group when you still struggle with A1 grammar and vocabulary. You may find the lessons too difficult. Meanwhile, students who are ready for A2 may have to slow down. Speaking exercises become frustrating when students cannot communicate at a similar level. A group with a consistent language level gives everyone a fairer opportunity to learn, practise, and make progress together.
Think about your Future, Not just Today’s price!
Learning Dutch is an investment in your future, career, and education. You want to express yourself clearly, write professional emails, communicate with colleagues, and participate confidently in conversations. You want people to understand what you say and write without misunderstandings caused by gaps in your language knowledge. If English is not your first language, you may already understand how important it is to communicate accurately in another language. Saving €200 on a course may seem attractive today. But if you later have to repeat an entire level, that initial saving could cost you much more in the long run.
Before booking a course, ask yourself:
- Will I really achieve the language level promised?
- Will my classmates have a similar level to mine?
- Will I be able to practise speaking effectively with them?
- Will I be ready to progress to the next level?
At Dutch Academy Eindhoven, our admission testing and level requirements help ensure that you join the right group and build a solid foundation for your next level. Don’t choose a Dutch course based on price alone. Choose one that helps you achieve the results you need.

Teacher Philippe10. Why do people choose us?
I studied A1 at another school. As a fast learner, I was looking for a school that offers comprehensive and engaging classes that challenge and motivate me to learn more. My previous class was dull because my classmates lacked effort and there was a significant difference in our skill levels. Additionally, the pace of the class was too slow for me.
I’m very happy to have found Dutch Academy Eindhoven. I had taken a previous course elsewhere and thought learning Dutch would be impossible as it all seemed too complicated, but our teacher did such a wonderful job at making the information understandable and digestible. I’m very happy to have signed up, and would happily take a course with them again! Can highly recommend!
